The next build step is the collective pitch rocker assembly. This has quite
a few parts to it when looking at the exploded view in the manual. However,
when you strt to build it it soon becomes apparent that it it actually
far easier to put together than it looks. First job is to build up the
control levers. These are then bolted to the long side arms as shown below.
Having done this the two long side arms are bolted to the servo tray to
form the basis of the collective pitch rocker. Note on the bottom right
photo I forgot to put a ball on the end of the rocker assembly and used
a screw instead, I think I got a bit over eager and didn't read the manual
properly. |

The next task is to mount the rocker assembly onto the upper frames. This
is more easily done by loosening the screws that screw into the servo tray
so that it is easier to get the rocker onto the mount points on the upper
frames. Note that in the top left photo below I have now installed the
ball. Unfortunately these photos came out very black and it's quite difficult
to see the detail. I've included some high-res pictures to help resolve
this. |
